I’m Latrice Murphy, a portrait photographer specializing in senior portraits, headshots, and branding photography, based in Aurora, Illinois just outside of Chicago. My studio is where confidence gets built, stories get told, and people realize they look way better than they think they do.

I’m an award-winning, published photographer and a proud member of Professional Photographers of America, but my path here was anything but straight. I started out in architecture and design, earned a Master’s in Elementary Education, and somehow landed in photography where I get to use all of it. Design for the sets, teaching for the people in front of my camera, and creativity for everything in between.

I’m an open book. You’ll find me sharing photography tips, studio life, family moments, coffee obsessions, and travel adventures on YouTube, dancing badly on TikTok, and mixing real life with great images on Instagram. I believe showing up as yourself is way more powerful than pretending to be perfect.

With the support of my husband George and the daily motivation of my kids, I get to do what I love most, capturing emotion, connection, and those blink-and-you-miss-it moments that end up meaning everything.
